It was slightly embarrassing standing on Westminster Bridge trying to photograph a small box, particularly as it kept falling over and the wind meant I had a 30 second window, now and again, in which it stayed upright. Managed to snap it eventually.
Most people on the bridge were walking and chatting or taking photos of the scenery. Sadly Big Ben is covered in scaffolding but there’s a great view of the Houses of Parliament and of course, the London Eye and County Hall. Really great atmosphere and the sense that people were happy and enjoying themselves. It’s a shame that’s become novel since we’ve been in lockdown.
I waited for a couple while they took photographs as they were in the spot I needed. They took about fifteen minutes taking it in turns to photograph each other (which I found a little bizarre). Glad I waited and the shot looked great in the sunshine. I think this one’s the best (on the right) and I ran it on Instagram.
