London mission

I’ve been very restricted with my Privvi work due to lockdown and Monday’s news means I need to forge ahead quickly. My first task is to run a Facebook promotional series using the lovely images from San Francisco, Tokyo and Sydney. The box I sent to Prague still hasn’t arrived and I may need to send it again.

I’ve decided to go into London this weekend to take a photograph of Privvi on the Southbank. I can get a train straight to Blackfriars and walk along the river – it’s then a question of what I photograph. There’s Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, for starters. I’ll just see what works best.

I’m strangely nervous about my trip (although I lived in London for about ten years). My imagination’s been getting the better of me and a vision of London as a post-apocalyptic wasteland keeps popping into my head – a bit like the Zombie film ’28 Days Later’. I can remember seeing images of London from last March with barely a soul in sight. It was very eerie.

I’m sure it won’t be that quiet and if it wasn’t for work, I wouldn’t go. I’ll be super-careful plus I’ll be outdoors (apart from the train) so it should be reasonably safe. Feels like I’m going on a mission.

My name's Anna and I decided to write a blog following an accident last year. I will never regain the full use of my right hand and an operation led to additional, ongoing complications. This is about my struggles following the accident and the challenges of trying to save the use I still have in my hand. It’s a story about my product and why it appeared in my head one day because of my traumatic experiences. How I took that positive vision and worked towards bringing it to life. The challenges of putting it together and getting it to the market whilst still undergoing debilitating, ongoing treatment. It's a journey you can share with me. I'm not there yet...
