Light in the darkness

Sometimes I’m not sure whether my hand and my business are separate things that should be kept that way. My blog feels personal but thinking about it today, my business is very personal too. It’s not just because of what my product is but largely due to the reasons that I made it.

If I hadn’t been through the debilitation and injury to my hand, I’m fairly sure I wouldn’t have tried this. I’ve never experienced pain for such a prolonged period of time and it’s taken a lot from me emotionally and been quite traumatic. It’s changed something in my head which is hard to explain but I think I’ve developed a resilience I didn’t have before. My expectations are different and I’m not afraid to be in a way that I wasn’t before. It’s good for me in some aspects of my life.

I think my product has given me a positive focus and I use it to try and keep myself on track. It’s also far more than a business and I enjoy it – just hope I can make it work. Progress today as I made this ad which is getting views. I’ve set it to run for 3 days and hoping to get some more Instagram followers through the competition.

My name's Anna and I decided to write a blog following an accident last year. I will never regain the full use of my right hand and an operation led to additional, ongoing complications. This is about my struggles following the accident and the challenges of trying to save the use I still have in my hand. It’s a story about my product and why it appeared in my head one day because of my traumatic experiences. How I took that positive vision and worked towards bringing it to life. The challenges of putting it together and getting it to the market whilst still undergoing debilitating, ongoing treatment. It's a journey you can share with me. I'm not there yet...
