I’ve always been quite a reserved, measured person, sometimes to a fault, until recently. My recent experiences have made me push myself beyond my comfort zone and reach out more. It’s been good for me, in many ways, including my work.
Reading my blog homepage you can see it was my son’s encouragement that led me to write, after a friend suggested the idea. I have discovered that what my son said is actually true. Sometimes writing can seem like an insurmountable task but I always find the motivation because it’s important and brings many positives.
I feel like I am sharing the experiences in my life – good and bad, and it’s interesting that my blog makes me focus more on the positives, which is great. It’s also good to read other peoples’ thoughts and ideas – it makes me feel connected.
My blog is usually the last thing I check at the end of my day – an anchor and a point of reference. I’m very glad I wrote it – just hope I can keep going after my operation. I think that time’s going to be particularly challenging.
