This is one from a set of photographs my son took last summer. His challenge was to take 100 photos of nature during lockdown. He took some amazing photographs (which I may show you at some point) but I think this one is particularly striking because of the colour and the flying bug which was incidental, but lucky.
From the moment I thought of the Privvi’s concept I could visualise it in my head – the clean, white box and bright colours, then the imagery and the icons. It was really important, in my mind, that the product looked lovely. A badly designed pack just wouldn’t have the same value or meaning (even with identical products inside).
It’s strange that image can project so much and that people’s interpretation can be so varied, depending on their view. Do you see a image of a flower or a bug in the photo? I see the flower but if it was in black and white, because of the contrast, I think I’d see the bug quite distinctly.
