Why is it so hard to take good product photos? We tried to take the Privvi product shots at home today. In theory, photographing four products on a white background in daylight should be easy? The quality of photograph needed for an e-commerce website is surprisingly hard to achieve (so it seems).
Before we’d even thought about composition, there was the challenge of reflection, exposure and shadow. Aside from that, blue nitrile gloves look awful on their own: wrinkly and dishevelled no matter how you photograph them. This is the best result we had – with the gloves on to try and make them look better.
I contacted a nearby studio today and I’m hoping they can find a solution. We shall see what they come up with.

My name's Anna and I decided to write a blog following an accident last year. I will never regain the full use of my right hand and an operation led to additional, ongoing complications. This is about my struggles following the accident and the challenges of trying to save the use I still have in my hand.
It’s a story about my product and why it appeared in my head one day because of my traumatic experiences. How I took that positive vision and worked towards bringing it to life. The challenges of putting it together and getting it to the market whilst still undergoing debilitating, ongoing treatment. It's a journey you can share with me. I'm not there yet...
