I’ve been working on an idea for Privvi which I mentioned before. It’s a series of promotional photographs based on Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’. The plan is to send a Privvi box to friends around the world so they can photograph it in distinct locations. I’m hoping this will be fun and engaging for people to look at.
I looked up the lyrics today. The song was made during World War Two in 1939 and relates to soldiers going to war at the time. At the moment, with all that is happening, it seemed strangely relevant. It’s almost like we are at war with Covid and the vaccine is our bullet. Hopefully it can be rolled out quickly and we can all keep ourselves safe.
We’ll Meet Again
Don’t know where, don’t know when
But I know We’ll Meet Again
Some sunny day
Keep smiling through
Just like you always do
‘Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away
