Bracing myself

My hand has started hurting me quite a lot. Inevitably it’s my thumb and forefinger. I’m not sure why but suspect it’s because I’ve been putting too much strain on it with packing, particularly with cutting. I’m going to have to ask my family to help and wear my hand brace for a while to rest it. I’m hoping to find out more about the situation with my operation next week. Hopefully that will be successful and stabilise the thumb to a greater extent.

I’ve two braces that I’ve found useful and effective. This one is very sturdy yet comfortable and is made by the PhysioRoom. I only mention it in case it’s useful to anyone. I’ve another that I use for sport which is smaller and has a metal support. Not sure who it is made by though but I’ll check. I wear that when I’m skiing or snowboarding. I’ve a story about that which I’ll tell you at some point.

My name's Anna and I decided to write a blog following an accident last year. I will never regain the full use of my right hand and an operation led to additional, ongoing complications. This is about my struggles following the accident and the challenges of trying to save the use I still have in my hand. It’s a story about my product and why it appeared in my head one day because of my traumatic experiences. How I took that positive vision and worked towards bringing it to life. The challenges of putting it together and getting it to the market whilst still undergoing debilitating, ongoing treatment. It's a journey you can share with me. I'm not there yet...
